My patience with weeding tiny onion plants is at best short and I prefer the size and ease of use that plants afford. I have a limited amount of time that I can spend in the garden during the summer and don't want to spend that time thinning and weeding. Good...</title><content type='html'>I'm a fan of Johnny's and just wanted say HI! &lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;Good idea about checking my birdhouses, though I only have 3. I too expanded my garden this year. And I had a bumper crops of beets. Lutz (big!) and Chiogga (sweet!).&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;I was interested to read you used onion plants. I tried to grow onions from seeds this year but was not successful. My set grew OK.
